Michael trained with Deloitte and later worked with multinational organisations gaining deep insight into high-performing business environments. ​He has applied these best practices to grow AMQ, which he founded in 2010, into a 25-person multidisciplinary firm, advising SMEs across audit, tax, automation, and corporate finance to improve performance, strengthen decision-making, and support sustainable growth.

Ruth has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting practice. She leads our Employer Services and Corporate Compliance team. In this role, AMQ provides professional help with payroll and company secretarial services.

 

We work with local and international clients and our goal is to ensure that these businesses run smoothly and meet all legal requirements. Ruth’s leadership helps us provide the best support to our clients, making their operations easier and more efficient.

Martin started working at AMQ in 2017, bringing vast experience of international & domestic business to the firm. Before joining AMQ, he worked with one of the four largest accounting networks, based in Dublin.

He developed an expertise in auditing industries including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, healthcare, IT, transport, and logistics. At AMQ, Martin is in charge of audit services and digital solutions for small to medium-sized businesses across a variety of sectors.​​

With 25 years experience across both industry and practice, Paul leads the Business Advisory team at AMQ.

He has built his reputation advising entrepreneurs and SMEs in the owner managed business sector.

Serena leads our Accounting Services team, which has extensive experience advising clients on accounting, tax compliance, and corporate compliance, providing clear, reliable guidance across a wide range of business needs.

She and her team also support clients with emerging developments such as automation and cloud‑based accounting solutions, helping you make better decisions on how to manage your accounting and freeing up valuable time.

Laidelyn is our in‑house specialist in Cloud Accounting Solutions for SME businesses.  

She works across a wide range of platforms and systems, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. AMQ is a Xero Platinum Partner, representing the highest level of partnership and expertise with Xero. 

 

She supports clients in identifying and implementing the most suitable accounting solutions and cloud applications for their business needs.

Elizabeth is a highly experienced tax advisor with over 30 years’ expertise supporting Irish business owners with strategic tax planning, succession planning, and informed financial decision‑making.

 

She brings deep, practical knowledge across a wide range of tax areas, including corporate tax, estate and inheritance tax, and VAT on property. Elizabeth works closely with clients to design proactive, forward‑looking tax strategies that minimise risk, optimise outcomes.

Sasanka Are, PhD, is an accomplished AI executive and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience, bridging the gap between advanced mathematical modelling and scalable business innovation.

With a unique background combining a PhD in Mathematics with an MBA, Sasanka specialises in building high-performance AI/ML practices from the ground up, and more recently, leading end-to-end MLOps and LLM integration initiatives.
